Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Saturday (9/12) that was
initiated by Jakarta Health Department.

activities including general medical examination, free dental treatment, early
detection of cervical and breast cancer, Posyandu (maternal and child healthcare), elderly, mass
circumcision and class pregnant women. Hundreds of occupants flocked provided
booth since morning.
“I really
appreciate this activity, thanks to health dept and sub-dept, this is so
useful,” said Bambang Musyawardana, East Jakarta Mayor when reviewing the health
services booths in Jatinegara Barat flat.
Head of Jakarta
Health Department, Koesmedi Priharto acknowledged, the program is focused on
provide service for residents in flat, kampung deret, slum residential and
under privileged residents. As they (low-economy residents) have no awareness
of healthy matter.
“We’ve to
monitor cause disease spread quicker in flat or dense populated area,” he
expressed.
Residents
taught how to take care of themselves, do preventive things and also how to
maintain healthy live, eat and work.
